Clontarf Win U12 Irish Cup 2015

Clontarf U12 (2003) team were in action today for the Irish U12 Cup which was held in the National Aquatics Center, the team came through the group stages with wins against Kells 5-2 and Balina 12-0, getting through to the Quater Finals against St. Vincents winning this game 7-0. This put us through to the Semi Finals against Corrib, this was an extremely close game with Corrib scoring first and Clontarf responding, then Corrib got another goal and we came from behind again to level the scoring, in the last minute of the game a great move from Clontarf saw us get the winning goal with the game finishing 3-2, Clontarf earning a well deserved place in the Final against Bangor. Clontarf were in fantastic form in the final, scoring first and holding the lead until the final whistle, final score was 19-2. Thanks to all our supporters, what a day, what a team, brilliant result for the Club. Finally and most important thanks to our young and fantastic squad of players, playing 5 matches in one day, great effort. WELL DONE ALL

Irish U12 Cup NAC 23rd May

Clontarf have entered the U12 Cup this Saturday the 23rd May in the NAC. Please come and support or young players. Clontarf have drawn in a group with Kells and Ballina, the first match is at 1pm and second match at 2pm, depending on how they get on determines the next matches. Best of luck to all our young players aged 8 to 12.

U12 Clontarf Celtic V Drogheda – What a game

Sunday 17th May was the last day of the Leinster U12 Plate League which saw a dramatic playoff game between Clontarf Celtic and Drogheda for first place. The match was tight in the first quater with only a goal between the teams. Drogheda in the second and third quarter scored a number of goals opening a lead putting Clontarf under pressure with the score 7;3 going into the last quarter. The final score saw a dramatic come back with Clontarf score 4 times to leave the score at 7;7 in the end. The atmosphere in Guinness pool for the last quater was electric. Both U12 teams played their hearts out, in the end the teams decided to split the league with all the kids leaving the pool with a smile on their faces, with Junior Waterpolo winning out with a very exciting match played. Thanks to Drogheda for travelling into Guinness for this game. This closes out the Leinster Leagues, the U12 2003 team are in action this weekend in the 2003 Irish Cup, best of luck to all, Drogheda and Clontarf may meet again.

Clontarf Swimming Club AGM 2015

It is near the end of season and Clontarf Swimming Club will be holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 28thof April 2015 in Clontarf Gaa Club, Seafield road, Clontarf, Dublin 3. The meeting will start at 8.00pm sharp.

Clontarf Results 21st of March

As the Season starts to Close out it was another busy weekend. The Senior Mens team travelled to Lisburn for a National League Division 2 match v Clonard, the match ended 12-12. Next weekend the Senior team has two matches over the weekend, hopefully we can get 6 points from the two games. Some of the Junior teams were also in action on Saturday night, U12 Clontarf United beat North Dublin 5-4 in an exciting game and both the Boys and Girls U14 teams won against Drogheda.
