Clontarf 2002 Tournament

Clontarf 2002 tournament was held on the 3rd and 4th of January this year, this proved again to be a great success with over 140 kids participating from all over Ireland and also a visting team from Sheffield. Corrib A team took the Premier final 9 8 in a dramatic ending against Sheffield, with North Dublin finishing 3rd and Clontarf United finishing 4th in a 7 to 5 match. In the 2nd Plate final Newry Mourne won against Clonard 6 4, and it the 3rd Plate final Clontarf Celtic won against Corrib B. Over the weekend all teams played a minimum of 5 games, in total 29 games were played and 255 goals scored. As usual the atmosphere in the pool was electric and all the matches were played in great spirit with all the kids really enjoying the weekend. Clontarf would like to thanks all the Clubs, Parents, Coaches and especially the Kids for supporting this tournament, a special thanks to Nicky and Carol O’Meara for organising the event.

Under 16 Irish Cup, 23rd-25th January 2015

The Club has entered the U16 Irish Cup for both Boys and Girls in Lisburn on the Weekend of 23rdto 25th of January. Girls are in a Group of 4 teams with Tribes A, Drogheda and Cathal Brugha, their first match is Friday night v Tribes A at 20.20. The Boys are in a group of three with Lisburn and also Cathal Brugha with their first match Saturday morning at 9.30 v Lisburn.

Annual Christmas Day Swim

Don’t forget the Annual Christmas Day Swim, meeting at the First Shelter Bull Wall, Dollymount Beach at Midday.

 

Results: 7th of December

Clontarf Girls U16 team beat Vincent’s 3-2 and also Drogheda 6-1. The Girls will now play in the Leinster U16 Final.

The Boys U16 sadly were beaten by Drogheda 5-3 losing out in a place for the Final.
