Clontarf U15 Boys team took part in the Irish U15 Cup this weekend, a strong performance on Saturday with wins against Drogheda and North Dublin gained them a place in the semi final against Corrib. This was a hard fought match with Corrib winning 12-5. Clontarf boys then had a third place playoff with St. Vincent’s. Saint Vincent’s started off strong getting a 2 goal lead going into the second quarter. Clontarf responded and levelled the score to 2-2, the match then went to 3-3, leading to an exciting fourth quarter, Clontarf took a 2 goal lead, St. Vincent’s came within 1 goal with two minutes left and Clontarf quickly responded again getting back the two goal lead. Eventually the score finished 6-4, with a great display of Waterpolo for both Leinster Clubs. The boys final was contested between Corrib and Clonard with the final score as 4-4 and Clonard winning on penalties. The girls final was between Tribes and St. Vincent’s, with St Vincent’s winning by 1 goal.
