As the Season starts to Close out it was another busy weekend. The Senior Mens team travelled to Lisburn for a National League Division 2 match v Clonard, the match ended 12-12. Next weekend the Senior team has two matches over the weekend, hopefully we can get 6 points from the two games. Some of the Junior teams were also in action on Saturday night, U12 Clontarf United beat North Dublin 5-4 in an exciting game and both the Boys and Girls U14 teams won against Drogheda.
Clontarf entered three teams in the Clonard Junior Waterpolo Tournament at the weekend. The age groups of the three teams were U10, U12 and U14. For the U10 this was the first tournament experience for most of the players and they came second taking part in four very entertaining matches. The U12 team did fantastic coming home with Gold medals in the U12 tournament winning against Clonard A in the final. In the U14 tournament we came third with some of the U12 team getting their first game at this level. A special thanks to Clonard for hosting a fun event for all the Kids, we will be back again.
Well done to the U16 Girls at the weekend who won both their matches in the U16 National League, beating Drogheda 4-0 in the first match and Tribes B 8-1 in the second match. In the Leinster League Matches on Saturday night, in the U12 competitions Clonarf Celtic drew with Half Moon 3-3 in the Plate League and Clontarf United lost out to St.Vincents in the Premier League. In the U14 Mixed league Clontarf A lost 3-2 in a very tight match against Sandycove, with Clontarf B loosing to St. Vincents. To finish out the evening Clontarf Boys U14 won against St. Vincents.
